Greetings from Fischer!  This is the first news of 2012, kicking off the second year of Fischer Haus Concerts.  In putting together this year’s schedule, we feel we’re off to a good start, but are always open to suggestions from the folks that come to listen.  So if there’s someone in particular that you think would be a good fit for the Cantina, please drop us a line and let us know.

 

All of our Haus concerts are BYOB and tickets are a suggested cash donation.  We typically have a concession with food and non-alcoholic beverages before and during the shows.  Fischer Haus B&B does have some guest rooms and camping available at most shows.  Contact Jan @ 512-538-5242 or email at fischaus@gvtc.com.  Please send us your email so we can put you on our Newsletter list for updates at the Cantina...

 

 

 

 

HAUS CONCERT 2012 SCHEDULE

For first half of the Year...

 

 This coming weekend, Saturday night -  Feb. 11^th, we kick things off with local favorite Kevin Welch.

 

You won’t find a more personable performer than Kevin, and with the flaps down on the Cantina and the wood burning stove running hot, this has all the makings of a classic Fischer Haus Concert.

The gate opens at 7:30pm with Kevin taking the stage at 8pm.

Kevin will perform two 45 minute sets with a 30 minute intermission.

There is a minimum suggested donation of $15 for admission.

As always it’s a BYOB event.  We’ll be serving chili and cornbread for an additional donation, so bring an appetite for good food, good music and Fischer Hauspitality.

On another note here are some possible events for the community from Fischer Haus Cantina but we need your input and support:

 We are looking at the possibility of starting a monthly “Farmers Market” at Fischer Haus Cantina  If you are a local grower or know someone, make fresh bread, etc. let us know your interest.  We are currently entertaining the idea of a weekly market that would include unplugged music and a place for folks to enjoy a fresh soup, salad or sandwich made with local market goods.  Listen to a little local music and shop for local goodies.  Please contact Jan at fischaus@gvtc.com and let her know your thoughts or if you would like to get involved  Thanks!

 Another thought we are entertaining is a monthly Gospel Music Brunch one Sunday a month during the tolerable months.  Please let us know if ya’ll share any interest in this event.
