Welcome to Fischer Haus, located in the Texas Hill Country between Blanco and Wimberley.
Fischer Haus is a turn of last Century Historic Country Victorian Farm Haus. It is beautifully restored and rich with history.
Hermann Fischer is the town's namesake. Settled in the early 1850s, the town had originally been called Fischer's Store. The log trading post served the settlers between Blanco and New Braunfels along the mountain ridge that is known as the Devil's Backbone.
A post office was granted in 1876 and in 1888 the Fischer Store School replaced an earlier school called Potters Creek. Fischer's Store became Fischer Store in 1894 at the request of the postal authorities. In 1950 it was officially shortened to simply Fischer, Texas.
We have 4 private bedrooms all with private baths. The Haus is available for renting for a day, a weekend or a week. Coffee, juice and condiments are available in the Haus, with a fully equipped kitchen available for your use. In addition to the rooms in the Haus, we also have camping available, some sites with electric hook-ups. See Camping for additional information.
Are you looking for an outdoor event center to hold your next get together? Something rustic and in the country? Our Cantina is now available for rentals with at least one night rental of the Fischer Haus.
